This is the veil i made. I hand-sewed on small beads and roses to create a pretty accent embroidery along the edges. I purposefully kept the square edge to stand out as different and not the traditional round edge. I added sparkle and shine as well along the edges. The shine came from ribbon that I used a sewing machine to add on and the sparkle i used a wash safe glitter and I really like the turn out. My only problem with the veil was when I had dome beads I glued on to add extra sparkle, they snagged on the ground :-( However, when it was spread out delicately it was an overall beautiful finish! The veil is not attached to the tiara, it is attached to a comb, that way i was able to take the veil off for the reception.
